Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft, Possession of a Weapon in Commission of Crime, Possession of Burglar Tools:  February 14, 2012 @ 13:53 Hrs

Pequannock Police received a call from a Pequannock resident from Brian Court, reporting an individual had entered a home behind theirs on a neighboring street, through a rear first floor window. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a Roland Road home. Officers surrounded the house and as officers entered the rear open window and unlocked the front door for assisting officers, they searched the home and the individual was located hunched over hiding next to a bed in a front upstairs bedroom. The individual was hiding under his body a towel containing numerous pieces of jewelry, and was holding a butter knife. Officers took the individual into custody without incident. The resident was contacted and responded, confirming the pieces of jewelry located, in fact was hers that had been kept in the master bedroom. The actor was identified as: Dean J. Vallario, 47 years of age from Pequannock, NJ. Mr. Vallario was charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft, Possession of a Weapon in the Commission of a Crime, Possession of Burglary Tools. Judge John A. Paparazzo was contacted and set bail at $70,000. Mr. Vallario was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in default of the bail amount pending arraignment on his charges.
