Marijuana Arrest: On April 24, 2018 at 4:07 p.m., Ptl. Vincent LaManno was monitoring traffic on Route 23 South. At that time, he observed a vehicle traveling at a speed that was in excess of the posted limit. Ptl. LaManno made a traffic stop on the vehicle in question and contacted the driver, later identified as Damier Hansford, 25 years old of Paterson, N.J. While conducting his investigation, Ptl. LaManno smelled what he recognized to be the odor of marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and Ptl. LaManno found one bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana cigarette. Mr. Hansford was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, speeding, and tinted windows. He was given a date to appear at the Pequannock Municipal Court and released.
Driving While Intoxicated: On April 24, 2018 at 10:25 p.m., officers responded to the Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident. Upon Ptl. William Juliano’s arrival he discovered that a car being operated on the Boulevard struck a parked vehicle. Ptl. Juliano met with the operator of the vehicle, later identified as Carol Lagreca, 51 years old of Pequannock. Ms. Lagreca had a difficult time explaining why she struck the parked vehicle. Ptl. Juliano noted that he suspected Ms. Lagreca may have been under the influence of alcohol. After several field sobriety tests, Ms. Lagreca was placed under arrest. She was transported back to police headquarters and was processed. Ms. Lagreca was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and failure to maintain a lane. Ms. Lagreca was released to a third party pending an appearance in the Pequannock Municipal Court.
