DWI Arrest: On June 30, 2018 at 12:14 a.m., Ptl. Matthew Halligan was on patrol of Route 23 South. At that time he observed a white, Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated in an aggressive manner and subsequently performed a traffic stop. Ptl. Halligan contacted the driver, later identified as Selena Galloway, 31 years old of Parlin, N.J. During his conversation with Ms. Galloway, Ptl. Halligan observed that she displayed multiple signs of alcohol consumption and conducted field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests she was placed under arrest and transported back to the Pequannock Police Headquarters for processing and breath testing. Ms. Galloway was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to signal a lane change. She was released to a third party and has a scheduled court date at the Pequannock Municipal Court.
