CDS Arrest: On July 23, 2018 at 1:18 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Nelson was on patrol on Route 23 North. At that time he observed a vehicle traveling next to him with several motor vehicle violations. Ptl. Nelson made a traffic stop and contacted the driver and passenger/registered owner. After a brief investigation he observed signs of narcotic use in the passenger, later identified as Edward Tabickman, 27 years old of Haskell, N.J. Ptl. Nelson conducted searches of Mr. Tabickman’s vehicle and his person. Ptl. Nelson located serval folds of suspected heroin and several items described as drug paraphernalia as a result of the search. Mr. Tabickman was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released with a scheduled court date at the Morris County Superior Court.
