Melissa Florance-Lynch holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University – W. Paul Stillman School of Business. Melissa is currently serving her sixth year on The Board of Trustees at The Glens Community, where she lived for 13 years before moving to Park Avenue with her husband Art. She has enjoyed serving that community and continues serving all the residents of Pequannock Township.
Melissa is a life long resident of Pequannock Township. 2015 begins her second term as a member of the Township Council. She is a successful 13-year Broker/Realtor for Weichert Realtors in Pequannock Township, where she is a top-producer and recipient of the 2009 New Jersey Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence Award. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the NJ Association of Realtors, as well as the Passaic County Board of Realtors, where she serves the Board on the Grievance Committee and the Realtor Assistance Committee. Prior to her real estate career, Melissa had been employed at Reckitt & Colman in Wayne, working her way up from positions in Sales Forecasting and Marketing Analysis to Manager of Customer Marketing.
Melissa feels passionate about helping others. She is a member of the Columbiettes for the Knights of Columbus Bishop Navagh Council here in Pequannock and a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She is also a volunteer fundraiser and member of the Deborah Heart & Lung Center and Hospital Foundation.
Melissa served as Mayor in 2014 and Deputy Mayor 2011-2013. Melissa currently serves as the Council Liaison to the Environmental Commission, and the Flood Advisory, Senior Citizens Advisory, Economic Development, and Municipal Alliance committees.
