[ARCHIVED] Tropical Storm Isaias - Power Outages (Updated 8/6/2020)

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 the region was significantly impacted by Tropical Storm Isaias with heavy rain and strong winds that caused wide spread power outages. Information is available from JCP&L on the restoration of electricity.

Update - August 6, 2020: Late yesterday, JCP&L released a Global Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) for all those impacted with power outages in New Jersey.  That Global ETR is Monday, August 11, 2020.  This means that JCP&L expects to have 95% of those without power restored by that date/time.  The possibility exists that power may be restored sooner than that global date/time.  Please check the JCP&L website, more specific information may be available.

Please be mindful that even if power appears to be out in an area, wires may become live for a variety of reasons; always treat downed wires as if they are live with electricity!

To report a power outage you may:

  • Call JCP&L: 1-888-544-4877 (Outage Reporting); 1-800-662-3115 (Customer Services)
  • Report the Outage through the Website: JCP&L Outage Website

For information on power outages, include estimated times of restoration (once JCP&L posted them):
