[ARCHIVED] Municipal Buildings Closed to the Public for Walk In Service

Beginning at 8:30 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2020 municipal offices, including the Municipal Building, Fire Safety Office, Annex on Alexander Avenue, and the Animal Shelter on Washington St. will be closed for walk in service.

If you need to meet with municipal staff, please contact the individual or department to schedule your appearance.

If you need to pay a tax or utility bill:

  • Tax and utility bills may be paid through the Township’s Website
  • A drop box will be available in front of the municipal building entrance. Please do not drop off cash payments. If you anticipate paying a bill in cash, please contact the Tax Collector’s office to schedule an appointment. Lastly, if you need a receipt, please note that with your payment and one will be mailed to your attention.
  • Tax and Utility bills may be mailed to the Township at 530 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444.  Please note Tax Collector or Utility Collector on your envelope and please DO NOT send cash.  

If you need a marriage license, birth certificate or death certificate:

If you need access to the Police Department, you may enter the building from the south side door. Police records and the Municipal Court drop box for payments will be accessible via this entrance.
