JCP&L Outage

JCP&L will be forcing an outage today around 4-5PM in Pequannock Township to make necessary repairs. There will be about 800 customers affected for 30-45 minutes while a breaker is opened to repair a pole that has damaged cross arms.

The location of the pole is near Newark Pompton Turnpike and Greenwood Avenue. Approximately 70 customers will remain out for an estimated one and a half to two hours while JCP&L finishes putting the new cross arms up. JCP&L is making these repair...

2019 Fall Hydrant Flushing - Beginning October 7, 2019

Starting on October 7, 2019, Township staff will begin the 2019 Fall Hydrant Flushing program. Activity will be Monday –Thursday for approx. 2 weeks between 7:30pm and 11:30pm. Hydrant flushing activities will be dependent on good weather.

BENEFITS OF HYDRANT FLUSHING

1. Improved Water Quality - Hydrants are flushed twice yearly to remove residue from the main pipe system, which helps keep our water clear.
