You can request certified copies of births, deaths, or marriages from Pequannock township’s Vital Statistics and Records Division. Records can be obtained in person or by mail. The event must have occurred within the Township of Pequannock to obtain the record.

If both applicants live out of state you must apply in the New Jersey municipality where the ceremony is to be held.THE PROCESS FOR APPLYING IN PEQUANNOCK TOWNSHIP:Both applicants must present themselves at our office at their scheduled appointment time along with one witness. You will be required to complete an application, provide proof of residency, and pay a $28.00 application fee (cash or money order, personal checks not accepted.). Once the application is completed and accepted by our office there is a minimum 72 hour waiting period before the license may be issued. Once issued the license will be valid for a thirty day period.Anyone 18 years of age or older may apply for a license. PET LICENSE APPLICATION FORM
Dog and cat licenses are available from the Pequannock Township Health Department beginning January 2nd of the current year by completing the mail-in form below. When obtaining your animal’s license you must provide proof that the animal has a current rabies vaccination through October 31st of the licensing year. In addition, veterinarian’s proof of spay or neutering (if applicable) must accompany the license application. Residents may also obtain their dog or cat licenses by applying in person at the Pequannock Health Department, 530 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on the second Tuesday of each month until 7:30 p.m. and only 1:00 p.m. the following Friday. Residents who do not license their dogs or cats by January 31st of the current year must pay a late fee of $5.00 and are subject to summons as provided by law.

Please note, that with the change of haulers, collection routes may have changed. So, your pick up times may change within the day. Please have all items to the curb before 6 a.m. on collection day. Thank you.
Garbage collection is provided twice a week, Tuesday and Friday. Recycling Collection is provided once a week, Monday. All recyclable material must be removed from garbage prior to collection. Garbage collection will not occur on New Year's Day, Memorial day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but will occur on the day after the holiday.
All garbage shall be placed in a suitable watertight container within five feet of the street in front of your premises. Containers shall not be placed out prior to 6 p.m. on the evening before collection and must be removed no later than 6 p.m. on the day of collection. Residents may place out for collection up to three thirty-gallon containers (or their equivalent) for each collection day.
