Detective Bureau
The Detective Bureau is responsible for coordination of most major incidents and follow-up investigations. Members of the Detective Bureau collect and secure evidence at crime scenes, provide fingerprinting for commercial licensing requirements, and conduct drug investigations, as well as, prepare all major cases for prosecution at the Superior Court level.

Mountain Bike Squad
The Mountain Bike Squad was implemented as a Community Policing program, to enable officers to better patrol the Township, during special events.

Patrol
Sixteen patrol officers under the command of four patrol sergeants, makeup the backbone of the police department. They are responsible for the twenty four hour, year round police service to the township.

School Resource Officer
The School Resource Officer's primary responsibility is acting as the Police Department's liaison to the Pequannock Township School District and its students.

Traffic Bureau
Officers assigned to this unit have received extensive training in selective enforcement, New Jersey Motor Vehicle Law, and advanced accident investigation.
