Duties of the Planning Board include preparation of the Township Master Plan and reviewing proposed zoning ordinances referred to the Board by the Township Council.
Zoning Board of Adjustment
It is the Board’s chief goal to set forth the safety and welfare of the community with the objective of conserving the value of property and encouraging the most appropriate use of land throughout the Township.

Library Board meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm, at the library. The Pequannock Township Public Library aims to provide free and equal access to materials, information, technology, cultural and educational experiences, and resources in order to educate, inform, and empower all of its community members.

Five Town Regional Dial-A-Ride Board of Trustees is made up of a members from each region.
Municipal Alliance Committee
he purpose of the Municipal Alliance Committee is to create a network of community leaders, private citizens, and representative from the public and private human service agencies who are dedicated to promoting and supporting alcohol and other drug and crime prevention and education programs.
Shade Tree Commission
Trees are one of the Pequannock Township's greatest assets and the Shade Tree Commission is charged with the custody and control of all trees on the Township's right-of-way.
The Environmental Commission represents the public and its long-term interests as local environmental advocates.
Economic Development Advisory Committee
Pequannock's Economic Development Commission was established by the Township Council and charged with developing and implementing a strategic business attraction and retention program for the municipality.
Flood Control Advisory Committee
The Flood Control Advisory Committee studies issues relating to flood control, flood protection and flood mitigation and to advise the Township Council, Planning Board and Board of Adjustment on matters relating to flood protection.

Consisting of 10 members the Open Space Advisory Committee was established by the Township Council to provide advice concerning open space acquisition issues in the Township.
Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee
Pequannock's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee was established by the Township Council to assist the Director in developing and evaluating Parks and Recreation programs and to act as a liaison between the community and the department.
Senior Citizen Advisory Committee
To study senior citizens' needs and related problems and recommend action to the Township Council, the Township Council has established a Senior Citizen Advisory Committee.
